Characteristics of copper busbar:

 

1. Good conductivity and thermal conductivity;

 

Copper, second only to silver in terms of electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, is the most conductive and thermally conductive metal among common metals. It can effectively accelerate heat dissipation in electrical equipment, thereby maintaining normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, it is widely used in the manufacture of conductive and thermally conductive devices.

 

2. Processing/Weldability

 

Copper has very high mechanical strength, is not easily deformed or broken, and has good processing characteristics, which can meet the requirements of process design such as stamping and bending. Good weldability, capable of cold and thermoplastic processing into various semi-finished and finished products. This allows copper bars to not only transmit current, but also carry certain mechanical loads.

 

3. Melting point/density

 

Its melting point is 1083 ºC, with no isomeric transformation, a relative density of 8.9, and a mass of about 15% heavier than ordinary steel in the same volume. Its strength and hardness are poor.

 

4. Corrosion resistance

 

The surface of copper bars, after being treated, can effectively resist corrosion and has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, seawater, certain non oxidizing acids (hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), alkalis, salt solutions, and various organic acids (acetic acid, citric acid).

 

5. Service life

 

Its chemical properties are stable, combining cold resistance, heat resistance, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and fire resistance, and can be used for a long time in different environments. The service life of copper bars can be as long as or even longer than that of buildings.

 

 

 

Copper busbar classification:

 

According to the cross-section, it can be divided into rectangular, circular, D-shaped, U-shaped, and anisotropic shapes. Rectangular busbars with the same cross-section have lower resistance, larger heat dissipation surface, and higher current carrying capacity compared to circular, D-shaped, U-shaped busbars; Circular and D-type busbars have good skin effect and good electrical protection effect; U-shaped busbars are generally used in equipment with high current and high force effect requirements. Nowadays, rounded corners are generally used to avoid sharp discharge

 

 

 

According to the material, it is divided into copper busbar, aluminum busbar, and iron busbar. Copper busbar is widely used due to its high current carrying capacity, good corrosion resistance and force effect; Aluminum busbars are also used in low current, non coastal, and non petrochemical systems; The use of iron busbars is mainly considered economically and is mainly applied to PT connection lines.

 

According to their natural state, they are divided into hard busbars and soft busbars. Soft busbar is mainly used in places where connection is inconvenient and can absorb some force effects, such as inside circuit breakers.

Now, the submerged Ti clad copper bus bar is the best choice for many industries including print circuit makers, steel (copper, gold) refining manufacturers.

Its sheared strength ≥ 130 Mpa, compact rate ≥ 98%, we can also supply the various specification of round, square, flat bars, the length of the bars can reach above 10 meters and can weld different shape and material together in according to the customer request. We could also make nickel clad copper bars, stainless steel clad copper bars, and zirconium clad copper bars series products through the same process technology.

(1) Good Shear and tensile strength: The shear and tensile strength is tested and guaranteed in accordance with GB, ASTM, and JIS.
(2) Perfect Elongation and Ductility: Elongation and Ductility of cladding metal is guaranteed in face bend (=cladding metal in tension), and the ductility of base metal is guaranteed in reverse bend (=cladding metal in compression).
